4x4

The 4x4 cube adds center and edge pairing challenges and is a common next step after 3x3.

About the 4x4 Cube

4x4 solving means solving a bigger cube by first pairing the center pieces and edges, then solving it like a 3x3. Solvers also need to learn special algorithms for parity cases that do not appear on a normal 3x3.

Before learning 4x4 solving, it is recommended to already be comfortable with 3x3 solving. Knowing how pieces move, understanding cube notation, and being familiar with common algorithms will make centers, edge pairing, and parity much easier to learn.
