About Hoya
Hoya is another advanced 4x4 method with a different order for centers and edges. It is less common than Yau, but some cubers prefer the planning style and the way it handles edge pairing.
The method can feel very efficient once learned because it gives a different balance between center work, edge pairing, and 3x3 transition. It is a strong option for solvers who do not fully like the Yau flow.
Hoya can achieve similar times to Yau, including sub-1 minute and faster. Choosing between Hoya and Yau often depends more on personal style than on one method being clearly better.
